Visual Aural Radio Range : ウィキペディア英語版 | Visual Aural Radio Range
The Visual Aural Radio Range (VAR) was a short range radio navigation aid, used from about 1940 until 1960, that provided four-course visual and aural track guidance signals at a range of about 100 miles. The VAR was an Australian version of the similar Low Frequency Radio Range radio navigation system used in the United States. The system was the predecessor of the Vhf Omni-Range (VOR) navigation system and used marker beacons similar to the ILS.
